assuring the Future of local
healthcare
The EPMC Foundation was
established in 1986. It is
an independent corporation,
organized to increase
community awareness of the
Estes Park Medical Center
and to develop, manage and
distribute funds to assist
the Medical Center in
fulfilling its mission of
providing excellent
healthcare and promoting
community wellness in the
Estes Valley. The
Foundation serves as the
steward of philanthropic
gifts that help to assure a
strong future for Estes Park
Medical Center.
Foundation revenue is
obtained through individual,
corporate and foundation
solicitations, as well as
special events. Gifts are
used for the benefit of
patients, their families and
staff. Since its creation
in 1986, the Foundation has
supported improvements and
additions to EPMC’s services
by raising funds for
specific programs, capital
needs or equipment to help
EPMC provide excellent
health care.
Revenue is disbursed
according with donor wishes,
whether it be annual,
commemorative, capital,
trust or bequest gifts or
income from endowment.
Today, more than ever before, the future of Estes Park Medical
Center is in the hands of
those who believe in its
mission. We invite you to

ensure that the needs of our
Medical Center are met and
that our “hometown” Medical
Center will be here for you
and those you care about far

Giving Opportunities
• Annual Fund – provides
support for day-to-day
equipment needs at Estes
Park Medical Center. Support
for the Annual Fund is
generally in the form of
cash or appreciated
securities.
• Capital Fund – provides
support for the Medical
Center’s expansion and
renovation project. The
success of this Fund rests
largely on pledges which are
payable over a three year
period. Gifts of cash and
securities, as well as
planned gifts such as
bequests may be given to the
Capital Fund.
• Endowment Fund - permanent
legacies for EPMC. Donors
may specify that their gift
is for a restricted or
unrestricted purpose and
that the income may or may
not be expended. Gifts to
the endowment may be cash or
securities or planned gifts
such as, bequests, life
insurance, or gifts of real
estate.
• Designated Funds - when
there is a specific need,
the Foundation publicizes
it, requesting designated
support. Donors may,
however, choose to designate
any gift for a specific
cause.

Service as a 501(c)(3)
tax-exempt, publicly
