Scott Woodard
General Surgeon

A native of Boulder, Colorado, Dr. Woodard joined the Family Medical Clinic in May of 2000. He received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Nebraska in 1986 and performed his residency in General Surgery at the Stamford Hospital in Stamford, Connecticut and New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. Dr. Woodard is Board Certified in General Surgery. As an undergraduate at the University of Nebraska, he was a three year varsity football letterman playing wide receiver. Dr. Woodard, his wife and three boys live in Estes Park.

Guy Van der Werf, M.D.
Family Practice

Dr. Van der Werf moved to Estes Park in 1992 from Arizona and has been with the Family Medical Clinic since 1994.  He is Board Certified in Family Practice.  In 1982, he received his B.S. in Mathematical Sciences from Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.  Dr. Van der Werf received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Arizona in 1987 and performed his Family Medicine residency  at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona.  Dr. Van der Werf is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Colorado.  Also, he serves as Medical Director for Estes Park Home Health Care, Hospice and Cardiac Rehabilitation, and was elected Chief of Staff at EPMC from 1999-2000.  He remains actively involved in Rotary, coaching soccer, scouting, his church, our local school, and supports the Art Center, Music Festival and Library Foundation.  A native of Holland, Dr. Van der Werf, his wife and two children reside in Estes Park.

Martin Koschnitzke, M.D.
Obstetrics and Gynecology

Dr. Koschnitzke (Dr. K) joined the Family Medical Clinic in 1996.  A native of Michigan, Dr. K received B.A. in Chemistry from the LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas in 1983.  He received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas in Galveston, Texas in 1987 and performed his internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Utah Medical School in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Dr. K is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.  Dr. K and his two two children live in Estes Park.  His family enjoys cycling, skiing, golf and hiking.

Richard Beesley, M.D.
Pediatrics

Dr. Beesley joined the Family Medical Clinic in 2002 after 25 years in private practice in Indiana.  He received is Doctor of Medicine from Indiana University in 1973 and performed his residency in Pediatrics at Michigan State University. Dr. Beesley is Board Certified in Pediatrics.  Dr. Beesley currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Estes Park Learning Place and Salud Foundation of Estes Park.  Dr. Beesley and his wife reside in Estes Park.  On his days off you can find Dr. Beesley hiking or snowshoeing the trails in Rocky Mountain National Park.  

 

Aaron Florence, D.O.
Orthopedics
 

A native of Idaho, Dr. Florence received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Idaho State University and went on to obtain his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from A.T. Still University, Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri.  He completed his residency at the New York Institute of Technology-New York College of Osteopathic Medicine at Peninsula Hospital Center and North Shore LIJ Health System.   He completed his sub-specialty fellowship training in Sports Medicine at the Barton Lake Tahoe Orthopedic Sports Medicine Fellowship in Zephyr Cove, Nevada. Dr. Florence provides general orthopedic care including surgery on various joints including the hips, knees, and shoulders and perform general orthopedic procedures, including arthroscopy, total joint replacements, and fracture care.  With this additional training in Sports Medicine, he performs many other specialized surgeries in both the young and older injured athletes including hip arthroscopy, rotator cuff repair, and ACL reconstruction. Having grown up in a small Idaho town and living in the Midwest for four years and New York for five, Dr. Florence and his wife and four children are excited to be living in Estes Park. 

Frank Dumont, M.D.
Internal Medicine

Dr. Dumont joined the Family Medical Clinic in 2002 having previously worked at Big Thompson Medical Group in Loveland.  Dr. Dumont has his roots in Colorado, graduating Valedictorian of his class at Thompson Valley High School in Loveland.  He earned a B.A. in Physics and a B.A. in Music from the University of Colorado.  He received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver in 1997 and completed his residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver.  Dr. Dumont is Board Certified in Internal Medicine providing a full spectrum of adult medicine.  Dr. Dumont, his wife, and two children live in Estes Park.  Dr. Dumont is a member of the Sunrise Rotary Club.  He enjoys mountain and road bicycling, hiking, cross country skiing, playing the violin and reading to his children.

Amanda Luchsinger, M.D.
Internal Medicine

Dr. Luchsinger earned her medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed her residency at the University of South Florida, and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Prior to arriving in Estes Park at the Family Medical Center, she has been affiliated with Morton Plant Mease Primary Care in Dunedin, Florida, where she practiced since 1996. Her other calling is a love for literature and a flair for writing.

Astrid Lampey, M.D.
Family Practice and Obstetrics

Dr. Lampey joined the Family Medical Clinic in 2000 along with her husband Dr. Patrick Barry.  She received her B.S. in Business in 1992 from the University of Colorado.  Dr. Lampey received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver in 1997 and performed her residency at St. Anthony’s Family Practice Residency in Denver.  In her spare time Dr. Lampey enjoys hiking and biking in the Estes Valley along with cooking and quilting.
