Objectively determine your training zones for endurance athletics and find your optimal race pace. Certified medical staff will determine your lactate threshold while either running on a treadmill or cycling (a rear wheel cycling ergometer is used with your own bicycle).
FIND YOUR LACTATE THRESHOLD
While slowly and incrementally increasing your pace/cycling power, your levels of lactate will be measured using a few drops of blood from a simple finger prick.
Your lactate level, heart rate, and pace/cycling power are then charted to determine the level of exercise intensity at which your body starts producing more lactate than it can effectively clear.
